Hello everyone, my name is Andy Ludwig. My friends calling me Good Time Andy because I try to have a good time every waking moment of the day or night. My wife Stacey started the nickname seven years ago and it stuck. Our home and backyard is called Good Time Andy’s Pool and Patio Bar. We love to entertain and do so a couple nights a week. We always have something fun taking place here on the weekends. My wife and I started this page because everyone who comes over enjoys most everything I grill. My wife and friends call me a master griller. That is very kind! I’ve had an allergy to beef for some time now so most of the time I cook venison, lamb, chicken, pork or fish. Everyone goes absolutely crazy over my chicken. The way I prepare and cook the chicken, makes it the most flavorful, succulent, tender grilled chicken you will ever eat. Kid’s and adults alike love it. A friend of a friend’s son came over one day to eat. After eating, he asked me for the recipe to give to his dad. He said “Andy, I must have your recipe in detail on how you cooked this chicken because my dad’s grilled chicken is all dry and gross”. I laughed and happily gave him the recipe with full instructions on how to prepare and cook. I saw him a few weeks later and he thanked me and he said “my dad’s chicken still isn’t as good as yours but it is way better then it was”. See detailed instructions below for how to cook the chicken on the grill.
I've always been a huge fan of BBQ. I created my own dry rub many years ago and always find fun ingredients to spice it up or help keep moisture locked into whatever I'm grilling. I created my own dry rub because I couldn’t find anything in the stores that ensured it would lock in the moisture and provided the flavor profile that brings out natural flavor. After months of trying different combinations of spices, I found the perfect balance between savory and spicy. I put this blend on most of the meats I cook on the grill. It even works on fish, tofu and veggies. The best way to describe the dry rub, is it’s a blend of the best spices from your traditional Memphis, Arkansas & Texas dry rubs with added herbs. The dry rub is for sale and come in a 16oz bag with a spoon. To order the dry rub, click on buy now above. The only reason it’s for sale is a friends daughter came to dinner one night not long ago and refused to leave until I gave her a bag of the dry rub and insisted I take $20.00 for it because she said “It’s worth $20.00”. 1LB of dry rub is currently sold for $20.00.
SEASON your meat
Place Protein in a large ziplock bag. Add dry rub to each side of protein. Seal ziplock bag and shake until all sides of Chicken or Pork is covered. If the Protein has natural flavor, use less seasoning. Example season beef like you would normally with salt and pepper. Pork or Chicken evenly coat. For Lamb, 1/3 rub, 1/3 red win, 1/3 EVO.
Good Time Andy's Premium Dry Rub is designed to bring out the natural flavors of the protein.

GRILL your meat
Cook Chicken or Pork on pre-heated grill (350 to 400 degrees). For best results use sear station for the first two following steps. Place Chicken on grill skin side down and cook for 2 to 3 minutes (this is critical to keep the protein moist while cooking. Flip Chicken or Pork and cook for 2 to 3 minutes depending on the size. Flip Chicken and Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes depending on size or until protein starts to show fat. Clear Fat and continue cooking for an additional minute or two depending on size or until Chicken has the internal temperature of 165 and Pork as internal temperature of 145. Perfect chicken and pork every time.
